“Year Thirty-Two” is the thirty-third painting in the “34” Series by Laura Noel, completed in 2018-2019. The series was an experiment in “abstract as autobiography,” where each painting of the series was meant to loosely represent a year of the artist’s life.

A few words about “Year Thirty-Two” from the artist:

Year Thirty-Two” was one of the first paintings I started working on in this series. There is a notable “pathway” element featuring in this piece.  Pathways have been a recurring theme in many of my works to date.
