In 2015 I was selected for this public works project in Vallejo, California to hand-paint this utility box with an original design. It was part of the 2015 cycle of Participatory Budgeting, under a grant project called “Arts, Beautification, and Community.” The completed Utility Box lives on the corner of Georgia and Santa Clara Streets in Vallejo, California. In the gallery below I’ve compiled a series of images from when I was working on the box, start to finish.
